Business in Wales magazine launch

Friday, March 12th, 2010

waThe Western Mail will soon publish a new magazine titled Business in Wales which will be spread over 52 pages.

The magazine aims to look over the Wales business landscape and will be published bi-monthly with regular platforms that cover all types of areas such as business start-ups, innovation, and a corporate deal maker.

Its first large interview included in the first edition will be the chief operating officer of Wales FTSE 100 Company, Admiral, David Stevens.

News of the magazine launch was announced this week at the Media Wales headquarters in Cardiff on Six Park Street.

Guests that were allowed to take a sneak peak at the magazine include Jaime Falarczyk from the Principality Building Society, Darwin Gray from PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Nick Bennett the chief executive at the Community Housing Cymru.

Head of business at Media Wales, Sion Barry, stated that the publication will take a sectorial approach and analysis of the sector which should nicely compliment the business supplement that already runs on Wednesdays.

Barry also stated that the April edition will have an interview with the Trade Minister Lord Davies of Abersoch and a careful analysis of how Wales is dealing with the current economic stall.

Of note in the first edition is a feature by Ron Jones, the executive chairman of Tinopolis the media group and an overview of the Welsh economy and its involvement with international trade written by the Uwic’s School of Management professor Robert Huggins.
