The Olsen twins have recently appeared on the front of Elle magazine despite having recently made claims that they are getting tired of being in front of the camera.
Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen when appearing on the front of the magazine look very striking, Ashley is wearing a lace dress, and Mary Kate is in a white shirt with diamond studs in it.
The two sisters are now 25 years old and they have been photographed by Alexei Hay for the magazine. Inside there is a 10 page feature about the twins and they are interviewed about what it was like to grow up always in the eye of the public, and how they made the transition from acting to fashion.
They started their career when they were just nine months old when they appeared on the sitcom Full House. After successfully acting in their younger years, they started a fashion label called The Row, and are said to be worth an estimated £65 million combined.
About their close relationship Ashley commented, “We do think in different ways but we usually come to the same conclusion. We work very well together and this is largely because we share so many personality traits. I think one reason we’ve been so successful in business is because we are dedicated to achieving perfection. We are very involved with our business and don’t just manage it from afar.”
Mary Kate commented about her transition into fashion from acting saying, “It has long been seen that celebrities have created fashion and this is something that we have certainly done in the past, but now I am more interested in the designing of the actual clothes and how that works. I also think it’s strange that designers are becoming celebrities, I really admire the modesty that some designers have, such as Phoebe Philo.”
She continued, “I’m a huge admirer of Tom Ford however, I love how he never compromises on anything he does, whether it’s fashion or film.” While the two older sisters have largely stopped their involvement in the acting world, their younger sister Elizabeth Olson seems to have started making a name in the acting world for herself.
